One Engagement Pose to Rule them all!
Are you feeling nervous that you might look awkward in front of the camera for your upcoming Engagement Session?? YOU ARE NOT THE ONLY ONE -- AND -- it is EXTREMELY common!! My goal as a photographer is to create an experience where you are having so much fun with the love of your life, your best friend, your Fiancé (Fiancée) that you even forget that I am there in the first place!! How do I do this you ask? MAGIC.
I am Just Kidding -- It is not magic -- it is simply YOU and YOUR LOVED ONE and the natural interactions that you don't even know that you do on a daily basis!! My wife Amanda and I have created a series of invitations throughout our sessions and by use of this one go-to pose you will be able to relax in front of the camera and create some stunning images!!
I GUARANTEE THAT THIS ONE POSE WILL PRODUCE FIVE DIFFERENT LOOKS IN UNDER ONE MINUTE.
BELLY 2 BELLY
THE POSE TO RULE THEM ALL IS -- BELLY 2 BELLY.
Typing this title out I might need to discuss with Amanda another name to call this pose. Thinking about it -- I wish it were something more creative or interesting. However with that being said, I feel that being as simplistic as possible is also very easy and comforting for my Brides and Grooms to understand what I need them to do. Even without the picture I am confident that if you are reading this at home -- you would know what to do with those 3 simple words. -- You would turn and face your partner! Piece of Cake!
The biggest Question that I have in this pose is where to put my hands?
Ladies -- I would rest your ring hand (left hand) on your partner's chest! This way you can show off that B-E-A-U-tiful ring!!
Gentlemen -- pull your partner in close by putting your hands around their lower back!
Nothing to it!! Phew!! One Pose -- One Look, but I promised 4 more!!
From this ONE pose we can transition to other looks in no time at all!
LOOK AT ME
In that SAME pose, both of you would look at me for that picture everyone wants of both of you smiling and looking into the camera. (( ::CLICK:: <-- that is me taking a picture -- and by this time only 10 seconds have gone by))
ONLY ONE
Then I would have only one of you looking at the camera and your partner looking at you!! At this moment your partner is DEFINITELY thinking about how lucky they are to be able to be with you! (( ::CLICK:: -- 20 seconds ))
FOREHEADS TOGETHER
This is my personal FAVORITE series of looks through Belly 2 Belly!! It is EXTREMELY flattering on all couples AND when you rest your forehead on your partners -- time seems to disappear and you are only focused on the other person!
Closing your eyes and completing this pose I feel brings the couple together for AT LEAST that one split moment. I make sure to move through this pose during all of my Engagement Sessions, but more importantly on your wedding day!! Through the hustle and bustle of your BIG DAY it is important to center both of you on each other! (( ::CLICK:: -- 30 seconds ))
KISS THE TOP OF HER HEAD
When you are forehead to forehead we will then seamlessly prompt and transition you to kiss the top of your partner's forehead! Keeping both of your eyes closed creates such a SWEET picture!! (( ::CLICK -- 40 seconds ))
.. AND FINALLY KISS!
